The Summer English School is a collaboration between the Auburn City Schools public school system and Auburn University's Office of University Outreach. It is a four week program committed to creating supportive academic learning environments through which students and their parents are able to improve their English language proficiency. The Summer English School provides non-English-speaking school students with 57 hours of classroom instruction in English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. The program is for all school-age students and parents as well. Summer English School is housed at Pick Elementary School and will begin June 6 and end July 1. Classes are Monday-Friday from 9-11:50 a.m.
