The subject of this week's Take 5 on the Auburn University homepage is #AUTogether, the effort resulting from Auburn University's recent Climate Study on Inclusion, Equity and Diversity. Results of the study were released last week. The study's recommendations call for stronger efforts to recruit and retain diverse students, faculty and staff, fostering a greater climate of inclusion and unity. The resulting effort—#AUTogether—empowers all members of the campus community to support and embody values of inclusion and diversity across all aspects of the institution. As the university implements #AUTogether, Take 5 asked student leaders to share their thoughts on Auburn's efforts moving forward. Kayla Warner, a rising junior from Daphne majoring in public relations and women's studies,is the 2016-17 president of the Black Student Union. SGA President Jesse Westerhouse is a rising junior and finance major from Huntsville. William Brannon, a sophomore in mechanical engineering from Alabaster, is the current president of the Auburn Latino Association for Students. Max Zinner will graduate this semester in anthropology and history.
