Notice body

The Kreher Preserve and Nature Center, or KPNC, will host a Science on Saturdays program “Unhuggables” this Saturday, April 2, at 10 a.m. KPNC staff and guest speakers will teach participants about species that people typically fear more than love, including plants, insects, and animals such as scorpions, skunks, poison ivy and snakes, to better understand their role in the environment. Free admission is offered to children 3 years old and younger. Regular admission is $4 for members and $5 for non-members. Pre-registration is not required.

KPNC and Auburn University’s Department of Music will present “Music in the Forest” on Sunday, April 3, at 3:30 p.m. All are encouraged to attend the free, outdoor concert at the amphitheater. Auburn’s Saxophone Quartet will be featured. Attendees are welcome to bring picnics, chairs or blankets, but are asked not to bring glass containers or to smoke.

In the event of rain, the KPNC events will be canceled. KPNC is located at 2222 N. College Street near Auburn Fisheries. For more information, visit the website, email preserve@auburn.edu or call 707-6512.
