Adrienne Wilson, an associate professor of theatre, has been elected to the National Board of Directors of the American College Dance Association, or ACDA, for the southern region. Wilson’s three-year term of service will extend from July 1, 2016-June 30, 2019.

Wilson is a dancer and musician who has been actively pursuing a life in the arts for many years. At Auburn, she teaches dance courses based in modern/contemporary technique, rhythm tap and movement analysis and blends elements of dance history, composition, improvisation, anatomy and kinesiology. She also choreographs and directs the annual student dance concert.

The American College Dance Association’s primary focus is to support and promote the wealth of talent and creativity that is prominent throughout college and university dance departments. Board members are responsible for steering national ACDA policy and are instrumental to the strength and development of dance in the academy.
