Join Dee Smith, Dennis Pinkard, Nancy Loewenstein and the Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve and Nature Center, or KPNC, staff to learn about the importance of planting native plants for birds, animals and humans and ridding yards of invasive plants. Handouts will be available to take home and door prizes from local nurseries will be awarded. Participants will exit after the talk to see some of KPNC’s own natives. No registration is required and the workshop will be canceled in the event of heavy rain. Event is $4 for members and $5 for non-members.
