Faculty interested in summer course redesign are encouraged to apply for the six-session summer seminar hosted by the Biggio Center May 17-June 2. Participants will design a new or redesign an existing course using backward design principles. Be prepared to use active learning and flourish in current classroom spaces as well as future classrooms in the Mell and Ralph Brown Draughon classroom additions and become a part of an ongoing cohort committed to "making teaching visible" by sharing teaching innovations. Both faculty and graduate teaching assistants are encouraged to apply and help build a cohort of 50 strong. Selected participants will receive $5,000 in stipend or faculty development funds to aid in their course re-design or scholarship of teaching and learning endeavors (i.e. conference travel, supporting a guest speaker in classes or funding technology to support high impact teaching practices). The deadline for application is Friday, Feb. 19. For more information and to apply, visit the Biggio Center’s website.
