College of Liberal Arts Professors Paula Bobrowski, associate dean for research and faculty development, and Rene McEldowney, director of the health administration program in the Department of Political Science, served together on a panel on Innovative Health Technologies and Veterinary Links recently at the Fulbright Association Annual Conference in Atlanta. Bobrowski was invited as the moderator and McEldowney was a panelist, along with Marian Adly, founder of Health Adlytics and a SARS expert, and Mark Tompkins, an associate professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases at University of Georgia. Bobrowski and McEldowney also brought with them three health administration students: Valerie Liverett, Tucker Plunkett and Savanna Williams. Of all the universities represented at the conference, the three students from Auburn were the only ones invited to attend the conference, where they met Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, among many distinguished speakers.
