In order to promote education about the process of contracting on campus and the roles of the various contracting offices, Risk Management and Safety has created “Principles of Contracting and Risk Transfer: A Guide for Auburn University.” The information contained in this guide is meant to provide a general understanding of the complex issues that may arise during general contracting. This new document does not serve as legal advice but is a useful tool in that it summarizes the principles and best practices of university contracting. The guide can be found on Risk Management and Safety’s website.

In conjunction with this informative guide, Risk Management and Safety has partnered with Procurement and Payment Services to provide a Human Resources and Development training session, “MR550: Principles of University Contracting and Risk Transfer,” which will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
