Beat Bama Food Drive, or BBFD, has partnered with Parking Services to give students an opportunity to pay off parking tickets and organizations an opportunity to win A-zone parking passes for finals week.

From Nov. 2- Nov. 13 students can bring can donations to the concourse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each can of food donated counts for $2 off a parking ticket, students can pay up to a $50 parking ticket with cans. The organization that donates the most cans during the two-week period will be awarded five A-zone parking passes that will be valid for finals week in December.

BBFD has also partnered with the Ralph Brown Draughon Library, where one can of food equals $2 off a late book return. The libraries can only accept checks, made out to the Food Bank of East Alabama, or the canned food item, no cash. There is no limit to the number of cans that can be applied to the fine.
