Notice body

Auburn University Student Counseling Services, or SCS, has been reaccredited by the International Association of Counseling Services Inc., or IACS, a Virginia-based organization of United States, Canadian and Australian counseling agencies. SCS was evaluated by IACS against high standards of counseling practice and was found to offer competent and reliable professional services to its clientele. Approval by IACS is also dependent upon evidence of continuing professional development as well as demonstration of excellence of counseling performance.

SCS is directed by Doug Hankes and offers individual therapy, group therapy, outreach programs, consultation and crisis services. It is the university's primary counseling center for undergraduate and graduate students, and is located on the second floor of the Auburn University Medical Clinic. All services are confidential and free of charge.
