Notice body

As part of FEMA's National Preparedness Month, the Auburn University Amateur Radio Club and the Department of Public Safety are teaming up to provide students with information about how to prepare for emergencies, especially tornadoes, while living on campus. The groups will be on the Haley Concourse from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sept. 21, 23 and 24, handing out information and talking about the importance of being prepared for disasters. They will also be highlighting the importance of amateur radio in emergency communications and offering students the chance to get more involved in emergency prep on campus. For more information, visit Auburn’s Amatuer Radio Club website or the national readiness website.
