On Thursday, Oct. 1, at 5 p.m., contemporary sculptor and visual artist Willie Cole will talk about his work in the exhibition, “Indelible Impressions,” on display at Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, or JCSM, through January 10, 2016. The talk will be in Gallery C of JCSM. Cole is best known for assembling and transforming ordinary domestic and used objects such as irons, ironing boards, high-heeled shoes, hair dryers, bicycle parts and recycled plastic water bottles into imaginative and powerful works of art. Admission is free, but space is limited. Advanced ticket reservation is encouraged online.
