Health Promotion and Wellness Services is going to use its Don’t Cancel That Class! program to spread the word about Green Dot, a new bystander intervention program starting at Auburn this year. Rather than a faculty member cancel class when they have to be elsewhere, staff from Health Promotion and Wellness Services can step in and use the class time to present on topics such as alcohol and drug use, stress management, balance, nutrition and mental health.

With Green Dot starting on campus this year, the staff would like to be able to present on it as well.

The goal of Green Dot is to change the campus culture so that interpersonal violence will not be tolerated. It empowers the campus community to recognize situations and make choices to prevent sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence from occurring.
