Annelise Salzmann, a junior in biosystems engineering, received a $2,000 academic scholarship from Alabama’s chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society, or SWCS. The Alabama chapter of SWCS fosters the science and art of soil, water and related natural resource management to achieve sustainability. Salzmann’s focus on helping the environment, as well as her participation in academic and extracurricular activities, led to her recognition as a recipient of the Alabama’s SWCS 2015 scholarship.
