Miranda Reed, associate professor in the Harrison School of Pharmacy Department of Drug Discovery and Development, received a $355,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute on Aging for her project entitled “Determining the Roles of Aging and Extrasynaptic NMDARs in Tau Pathology.” The proposed studies will provide greater insight into possible mechanisms by which aging increases the risk for Alzheimer’s disease.
