A Pre-season Conditioning Camp for high school, junior high and middle school athletes to prepare for fall and winter sports will be conducted by Wendi Weimar and Gretchen Oliver of Auburn University's School of Kinesiology the week of July 20. The camp will consist of drills and activities to increase agility, endurance, core strength, jumping and power. Unique equipment, such as the Fit Light System, will be used to improve reaction time and speed. Participants will receive an individualized, functional analysis on day one and day five from biomechanics experts, as well as take-home drills and instructions to practice at home during the off season.

The camp is Monday through Friday, July 20-24, from 9 a.m. to noon at the old track at Auburn University on Biggio Drive off Samford Avenue. Weimar works with collegiate and Olympic swimmers and other athletes, primarily focusing on lower extremity biomechanics and gait. Oliver is a licensed and certified athletic trainer who works with Auburn Softball and professional and youth baseball players. Her focus is on upper extremity biomechanics and injury prevention.

Registration is $125 and is due by July 17. To register, go to this website. Select "Kinesiology Store" and then select "camps." Space is limited. Special pricing is available for teams or groups of eight or more. Contact Kristin Roberts at kar0032@auburn.edu or (334) 844-7619 with any questions.
