The Biggio Center is offering a three-part Educause Learning Initiative webinar, “Supporting Faculty in Developing Online Course Proficiencies,” at noon in 246 Foy Hall on June 11, 17 and 24. For many institutions, offering online courses is part of a strategy to provide options for students to complete academic requirements. The short course will examine four areas directly aligned with online teaching proficiency: readiness for teaching online, online course competencies, stages of adoption and models of supporting faculty development. Webinar participants will share institutional challenges and strategies that have been used to overcome these issues. For more information and to register for any or all of the sessions, go to this website. Light refreshments will be available during the webinars. Additional questions may be directed to the Biggio Center at (334) 844-8530 or
