Paula Bobrowski, professor of political science and associate dean of research and faculty development in the College of Liberal Arts, has been appointed as a SENCER Leadership Fellow by the National Center for Science and Civic Engagement. SENCER, Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities, is supported by the National Science Foundation; Bobrowski was selected as one of three fellows from more than 3,000 faculty members and academic leaders in the SENCER community. Fellows are appointed to 18-month terms during which they work to expand on their existing campus work, mentor colleagues and disseminate results regionally and nationally.

Bobrowski has been involved with SENCER for several years, and in that time has launched creative new courses in the fine arts with connections to undergraduate research projects in biological neuroscience about the impacts of music.
