Auburn University dance faculty will host a five-day Dance Intensive Day Camp June 8-12 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Each day will be filled with classes in ballet, jazz, modern, tap and conditioning such as pilates and yoga. In addition, students will also learn choreography and improvise on their own to build choreography to be performed on the final day. All levels of students ages 11-19 are welcome. Cost is $200 per person and camper registration is on a first come-first serve basis; there are a limited number of spaces, so participants are encouraged to register early. This is a rare opportunity for dancers in the Auburn community to train and perform in the new facilities at Auburn University. The trained dancer and the novice can all finish this five-day intensive with more technique and appreciation for the art of dance. A final performance on Friday, June 12, at 5:30 p.m. will be open to the public. For more information and to register, go to this website or contact coordinator Jeff Dyal at (334) 844-5817 or jld0027@auburn.edu.
