As part of the exhibition programming for “Between the Black and Caspian Seas: Antique Rugs from the Caucasus, Selections from the Collection of Larry Gerber,” the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art will present "Preserving the Cultural Heritage: Georgian Films.” This will include two movie screenings and an accompanying lecture.

On Thursday, June 18, at 4 p.m. the museum will host a lecture by Julie Christensen, an expert in Slavic and East European Languages and Literatures, followed by a free movie screening at 5 p.m. of “Sayat Nova (The Color of Pomegranates).” On Sunday, June 21, at 2 p.m., a free movie screening of “Giorgobiste (The Month of Giorgi, or Falling Leaves)” will be presented.
