The Office of Human Resource Development is presenting a course focused on distinguishing among coaching, counseling and mentoring to help develop the listening, probing and assertiveness skills which promote successful teams. Promoting successful teams focuses on how to harness competitiveness, to be demanding tactfully, to empower, to overcome an anti-management attitude, to be supportive but not smothering, to build confidence and self-esteem and to create the right conditions to coach. This program is presented by Joe Sumners, director of the Economic Development Institute. The course will be held Thursday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to noon in room 1204A of the Auburn University Administrative Complex located at 1550 E. Glenn Ave. Register for this course in Fast-Train.
