The Special Collections and Archives Department of Auburn University Libraries wishes to remind everyone that the Alabama Public Records Commission maintains a retention schedule for records created by public colleges and universities in the state. This document provides information regarding how long Auburn University should retain various types of records, ranging from Board of Trustees’ minutes to unpaid accounts receivable. It is available for viewing at this website.

The Public Records Commission is soliciting suggestions for revisions in the records schedule, which applies to records in all formats, including electronic.
