The “World History Symposium: Politics, Culture, and Economy across Time and Space,’ will be held Friday, April 10, at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art. There will be a special luncheon presentation by Joseph Kicklighter, professor of History in the College of Liberal Arts. The registration fee is $10 for students and $20 for the general public; the fee includes attendance at all papers at the symposium, a catered hot lunch in the museum’s café and drinks and snacks during breaks.

The symposium will allow participants the opportunity to learn about various chapters in the history of the world from ancient to modern times. Through presentations and conversations, visitors will share knowledge about developments from the past that have contributed to making us who we are as individuals and as citizens of the world.
