David Carter, an associate professor of history in the College of Liberal Arts, will be featured on Alabama Public Television’s “Project C: Lessons from the American Civil Rights Movement” on Thursday, March 12, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. and noon to 12:30 p.m. “Project C: Lessons from the American Civil Rights Movement” is a three-year series of electronic field trips taking place throughout the civil rights 50th anniversary years of 2013-2015. Project C is featured on Alabama Public Television and will focus on the role of citizenship in a democracy through the study of historical events and examine the past to teach the importance of civic engagement in support of a humane, civil and just society.
