Stryker Corporation Chairman Emeritus John Brown will headline the first group of alumni business leaders honored at the Auburn University Entrepreneur Hall of Fame gala on Friday, April 24.

Presented by the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business, the event will honor university alumni who have built companies from the ground up or helped them achieve growth and success through visionary leadership. The black tie-optional event will be held at 5 p.m. at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased through AU Marketplace.

Brown, a 1957 engineering graduate, will be the first inductee into the Auburn University Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. Other alumni earning individual recognition include:

• Martin Sprocket & Gear Executive Vice Chairman Gary Martin (1957, engineering) – Spirit of Auburn Family Entrepreneur Award
• Delphinus Medical Technologies CEO Mark Forchette (1981, business) – Entrepreneur of the Year Award
• Oskar Blues Brewery founder and owner Dale Katechis (1992, business) – Entrepreneur of the Year Award
• Iron Tribe Fitness founder and CEO Forrest Walden (1998, education) – Entrepreneur of the Year Award
• Tailgate Guys/The Event Group Rentals CEO and President Parker Duffey (2006, agriculture) – Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award
• Wire Road Studios CEO and President James Kelley (2005, liberal arts) – Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award
• Back Forty Beer Company CEO Jason Wilson (2005, business) – Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award
