The American Society of Civil Engineers’ Environmental and Water Resources Institute has named Associate Professor Latif Kalin of Auburn’s School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences as the 2015 winner of the Outstanding Achievement Award. It will be presented during the Environmental and Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Councils Luncheon and Awards at the World Environmental and Water Resources Congress May 17-21 in Austin, Texas. Kalin’s research interests include: urbanization, climate variability/change and the impacts on hydrology and water quality; uncertainty/sensitivity analysis and scale impacts; erosion and sediment transport; watershed scale water quality and hydrologic modeling; nutrient cycling in bottom sediments; and wetland nutrient cycling.
