In honor of Social Work Month, the Auburn University Social Work program and the Opelika Sportsplex are inviting the community to attend the Expressions of a BraveHeart art and photo exhibit on Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12. The exhibit will be held on the second floor of the Auburn University Student Center from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A reception to meet the artists and photographers will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 12.

Expressions of a BraveHeart is a fine arts program offering art, music and dance classes to youth and young adults, from 11-21 years old, who have special needs, primarily those with moderate to severe disabilities. Volunteer staff is comprised of more than 75 Auburn University students representing 19 different majors from social work to biomedical science to aviation management. Expressions of a BraveHeart meets at Opelika Sportsplex during spring and fall semesters, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Mondays.
