The School of Industrial and Graphic Design’s 11th annual Designing Green competition will begin on Thursday, March 19, at 9 a.m. in Wallace Hall, rooms 107-111. David Oakey of Oakey Designs, a world leader in sustainable design and consultant to Interface Carpet, will kick off the 24-hour student sustainable design challenge with a lecture at 9:30 a.m. Judging will take place at noon, Friday, March 20, followed by a cookout on Wallace Hall lawn. Events are free and open to the public. Designing Green is sponsored by the student chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America.
