On Thursday, April 2, the Department of Geosciences will host guest speaker William Leeman, professor emeritus at Rice University, as part of the department’s Advisory Board Distinguished Lecture Series. The presentation is titled, “The Snake River Plain - Yellowstone Hotspot Track: Assessing the role of a mantle plume,” and it will take place at 3:30 p.m. in 2182 Haley Center. Leeman is a Fellow of the Mineralogical Society of America and a Fellow of the Geological Society of America. He previously served as a program director at the National Science Foundation.
