The deadline to register for a study abroad program in the Republic of Panama, “Panama Study Abroad — Climate Change and Environmental Management,” is March 30. The three-credit-hour program is for both undergraduate and graduate students and will take place May 10-24. The international experience will include a mix of lectures and field trips to locations such as the Panama Canal. Participants will explore the climate, forest and agriculture of Panama; gain basic knowledge and skills in the science of climate change; learn to use technologies such as GIS and remote sensing; and become familiar with water and climate models.
