Facilities Management is proud to announce the promotion of Mitch Walley to director of Construction Management. In this position, he will oversee the construction of Auburn University’s capital projects and in-house construction services.

“Mitch brings outstanding experience and a great deal of passion and organization to this position,” said Scott Fuller, Facilities Management executive director of Design and Construction. “He is a person of integrity and has high expectations for himself. I am confident he will enable Construction Management to make major improvements in our project delivery processes, procedures and practices and have a positive impact on our reputation and value to Auburn University.”

Walley has been with the university 13 years. He began his Facilities’ career as a project manager in Construction Management. He was later promoted to assistant director of Facilities’ Maintenance and Operations where he spent four years overseeing field operations.

“I look forward to working with the Design and Construction team,” Walley said. “I am thankful for this opportunity to continue to build my knowledge and skills while working to guide projects that will benefit the university community.”

Walley earned a B.S. degree in building science from Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction.
