The Auburn University Chapter of the American Association of University Professors seeks nominations for its Glenn Howze Academic Freedom Award.

The Auburn AAUP chapter presents the Academic Freedom Award annually to a person who has demonstrated high ethical standards and professionalism in his or her field of specialization and has also made significant contributions to advocating, protecting and extending academic freedom at the University.

The deadline for nominations is Feb. 24.

Submit letters of nomination for the Glenn Howze Award to Bill Sauser, President-Elect AAUP Auburn Chapter by Tuesday Feb. 24, at The letter of nomination should be one page, and include the name of the nominee, the name of the nominator(s), and briefly summarize the reasons why you believe this person is deserving of the award.

The selection committee will review the nominations, and an awardee selected and announced at the Spring meeting of the General Faculty on March 10.
