The Dietary Manager Program available through the Biggio Center will be offered online this spring.

Full Tilt Ahead, an educational technology company based in Norcross, Georgia, will convert the current paper-based program to a self-paced professional distance learning program.

Students currently use printed and audio materials to complete the program. The new online learning environment will provide students with a centralized online location to complete assignments and communicate with off-site instructors, preceptors and academic advisors. It will also allow students to self-register through an online pay portal.

For instructors and program directors, the new program allows them to generate progress reports.

“We are confident Auburn’s online Dietary Manager program will expand access for professionals seeking this credential, in keeping with our land-grant mission,” said Biggio Center Director Diane Boyd.

Auburn’s Dietary Managers Program is a nationally accredited correspondence program providing food service professionals in institutional foodservice, such as health care, school nutrition and corrections, a quality education. An individual who successfully completes the Auburn program is eligible to become a Certified Dietary Manager by passing a credentialing exam administered by the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals.
