Notice body

The Alabama Natural Resources Council (ANRC) will host its annual Outreach Symposium and Awards Banquet on Friday, Feb. 6, at the Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center just outside Montgomery.

This event has a dual aim of education and recognition. Beginning at 1 p.m., the symposium portion of the day’s events will focus on outreach and education, with exhibitors and a slate of speakers on topics of interest to landowners and natural resources professionals. The awards ceremony will recognize forest landowners and citizens who have contributed significantly toward wise stewardship of Alabama’s natural resources.

The ANRC members are state leaders of government agencies and private organizations, including the Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, with an interest in forest resources. The Council collaboratively develops programs and activities which motivate Alabama landowners, leaders and citizens to be wise stewards of our forests and related sustainable natural resources through the coordinated services and programs available from participating organizations.

Registration is still open for both the Symposium and Awards Banquet at this website.
