The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art will host a free screening of Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory" on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 5 p.m. Broadcast during the holiday season for many years, the 51-minute film tells the story of a young boy, Buddy, who spends Christmas with his aunts in the rural south during the depression. The Museum Cafe is open from 5 to 8 p.m. with an extended menu. Following the film, the group Cullars Improvisational Rotation will perform from 6 to 8 p.m., and the galleries are open until 8 p.m. with exhibitions including: "Rembrandt, Rubens, Gainsborough and the Golden Age of Painting in Europe."
