Gerard Gryski, from the Department of Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts, will be retiring after 32 years of dedicated service. He is a Curtis O. Liles, III Professor and previous department chair. Gryski has been at Auburn since 1982. He specializes in American national politics and has published articles in the Journal of Politics, Western Political Quarterly and Social Science Quarterly. His work has been sponsored by the National Science Foundation and he is finishing his third book, "The Institutional History of the United States District Courts." He has taught American Government, and Political Economy in the University Core Curriculum, as well as upper-level and graduate courses on American politics. Auburn friends and family can join Gryski at a retirement reception on Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the Piccolo Room at the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center from 5 - 7 p.m. For more information, contact Phillis Hodge by calling (334)844-5370.
