The Department of Music presents the Auburn University/Community Orchestra Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Telfair Peet Theatre. The program includes music by Bach, Mahler, and Mozart and features mezzo soprano and Auburn University Department of Music lecturer Anne Duraski as soloist. Tickets are $5 for students and children, $10 for general admission, and will be sold at the door one hour prior to the event.

The Department of Music presents the Concert Band Concert on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Telfair Peet Theatre. Directed by Corey Spurlin, in the College of Liberal Arts, this band performs a broad and diverse repertoire of standard and contemporary band literature. Tickets are $5 for students and children, $10 for general admission, and will be sold at the door one hour prior to the event.

The Department of Music and Department of Curriculum and Teaching presents the Tiger Strings Concert on Monday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. in Telfair Peet Theatre. AU Tiger Strings is a University-School-Community Partnership established to contribute to the positive musical development of children in East Alabama and provide teaching opportunities for Music Education students at Auburn University. Program goals include fostering positive social interaction between children of all backgrounds and culture, encouraging positive emotional development in children, providing equal opportunity for children of low socio-economic status and furthering the enrichment of the artistic life of the community. This event is free admission.
