On Friday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 18, the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities and the Department of English will host the fifth annual Auburn Writers Conference, “The Inspired South.” The conference offers instruction, practice, perspective, and community for both established and emerging writers. “The Inspired South” will feature two keynotes that are free and open to the public. Tom Franklin and Beth Ann Fennelly will speak on Friday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m., and Michael Knight will speak on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 9 a.m. Both programs will be held in the auditorium of the Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.
