A book talk by Kelly Jolley, author of "Stony Lonesome," will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. at Pebble Hill, located at 101 S. Debardeleben St. in Auburn. Jolley is a professor of philosophy at Auburn University. Jolley's first book of poetry, "Stoney Lonesome," containins poems written over the past decade. Many of the poems were written about or written on the pathways of the old antebellum farm near his house, once known as Stony Lonesome, now Noble Hall. The poems reflect his abiding interest in language, nature, philosophy, religion and teaching. The event is free, open to the public and will be followed by refreshments.
