The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art will present two programs in conjunction with the exhibition, "The Art of Vanishing," on Thursday, Oct. 2. Beginning at 3 p.m., Guests are invited to watch an encore presentation of the documentary film, "From Billions to None: The Passenger Pigeon’s Flight to Extinction." The film explores the pigeon’s striking relevance to conservation issues today. At 5 p.m., the film's co-producer, Joel Greenberg, will present a talk. Greenberg has devoted himself to writing, speaking and consulting on a variety of environmental topics and fieldwork for more than a decade. The Museum Cafe will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. for tapas service, with live jazz beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free courtesy of the Jule Collins Smith Museum Business Partners.
