Colin Gordon, a professor in the Department of History at the University of Iowa, will present the next lecture in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture’s Fall 2014 Lecture Series on Wednesday, Sept. 24. His lecture, “Mapping Decline: St. Louis and the Fate of the American City,” will discuss the depopulation of St. Louis, Missouri, as a combination of private real estate restrictions, local planning and zoning and federal housing policies.
