The public is invited to a book talk by Sarah Woolfolk Wiggins, editor of "The Journal of Sarah Haynsworth Gayle, 1827-1835," on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 3 pm in the Caroline Marshall Draughon Auditorium on the ground floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library. Gayle’s journal is among the most widely studied and seminal accounts of antebellum life in the American South. The event is sponsored by the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts and the Auburn University Libraries.
