The All-Star Lecture Series continues Friday, Sept. 26, as woodturner Matt Moulthrop presents "Inside the Moulthrop Studio" at 3 p.m. in the Goodwin Room at the Auburn Alumni Center. Moulthrop is a thrid generation woodturner and has worked professionally since apprenticing with his father and grandfather from 1993 through 2002. He is the artist behind the "Auburn Oak Bowl," created specifically for the Auburn Family. His vessels are placed in prominent collections across the United States, including the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Renwick Gallery of the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian Institution, and now, Auburn's Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art. The talks in the All-Star Lecture Series will take place each Friday before home football games for fans wanting to learn more about Auburn history, sports, programs and research.
