The College of Liberal Arts and the Ralph Brown Draughon Library are co-sponsoring the fall 2014 Africana Studies lecture: “’Ghosts of Mississippi:’ Freedom Summer 1964, a Fifty Year Retrospective,” on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 3:30-4:15 p.m. in the RBD Library ground floor auditorium. David Carter, an associate professor in the Department of History who has taught and written about the history of the civil rights movement, will lead the lecture. A reception will follow.
