Government and Economic Development Institute offering free entrepreneurship workshop for students, entrepreneurs and business owners

The Government and Economic Development Institute, or GEDI, a division of Auburn University Outreach, is offering an opportunity for students, entrepreneurs and small business owners to improve their odds of success for their business idea. GEDI will be hosting an Entrepreneurship Pop Up Workshop on Dec. 2 in Opelika. Business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs can learn to develop/fine-tune value proposition, identify market potential, develop a business model, address risks, expand their network of partners and more.

The workshop will be facilitated by LaKami Baker, Russell Foundation Associate Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies, Auburn University Harbert College of Business and David Mixson, Associate Director for the Government and Economic Development Institute at Auburn University.

The event will take place on Dec. 2 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Opelika Public Library located on 1100 Glenn St., Opelika, AL. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Morning refreshments and a working lunch are included.
