Holiday Lighting Ceremony taking place Nov. 28

University Program Council is partnering with Hillel at Auburn for the 2021 Holiday Lighting Ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, Nov. 28, on Samford Lawn from 4-6:30 p.m.

The Holiday Lighting Ceremony celebrates the beginning of the holiday season with the Auburn Family as we light the Christmas tree and Menorah. This program is meant to highlight the holiday season and celebrate a variety of traditions and diversity amongst Auburn students, families and the surrounding community. There will be community and student group performers, children’s crafts and refreshments.

Event timeline:4 p.m. - Family activities begin with refreshments4:30 p.m. - Auburn University Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble performs5 p.m. - Welcome by UPC representative, Drake Middle School Choir, AU Singers, Hillel / Choir group, Full AUctive, MelAUdic and AU Choir will perform individual sets.5:35 p.m. - Countdown/light the Christmas tree and Menorah.5:40 p.m. - AU Choir/attendees are able to take pictures by tree and Menorah while continuing to enjoy refreshments after the lighting of the Christmas tree and Menorah.
