Auburn to broadcast Harold A. Franklin desegregation marker dedication Nov. 11

Auburn will offer a live broadcast of the Nov. 11 Harold A. Franklin desegregation marker dedication ceremony in honor of Franklin, Auburn’s first African American student who desegregated the university in 1964 and passed away in September at age 88. The Auburn Family is asked to join the celebration virtually at aub.ie/franklinceremony as the dedication begins at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11. The ceremony will include remarks from key university officials and others.
