Child Life Master of Science Program applications open until Jan. 10

Applications are now open for the Masters of Science in Child Life degree program in the College of Human Sciences, or CHS. The Department of Human Development and Family Science in CHS is the first in Alabama to offer a child life focused master’s degree. The program is designed to prepare child life specialists to work with children and families in high-stress environments such as the hospital. Students are required to complete 33 credit hours and two hands-on clinical experiences totaling 750 hours. Graduates of the program will be prepared to sit for national certification to become Certified Child Life Specialists.
