A Storyteller’s Guide to Writing is a workshop series designed to help participants create compelling narratives. Over five in-person sessions, participants will gain experience in basic writing conventions, premise and plot, point of view, character creation, descriptive writing, worldbuilding, realistic dialogue, scene blocking and strategies for finishing and revising their narrative works. Collaborative and solo activities will be provided to give participants time to work on their projects. This workshop series is open to all students, faculty and staff.

Students should register for all parts of this series by completing this registration survey by Sept. 28.

Participants are encouraged to attend all five sessions. Workshop sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 2–3:30 p.m. in the ePortfolio Studio on the second floor of RBD Library, Room 2056, on the following dates: Oct. 5, Oct. 12, Oct. 19, Nov. 2, and Nov. 16.
