Starting Sept. 13, a new 24/7 support option will integrate with Canvas. Impact, formerly Eesysoft, provides contextualized help guides right inside the learning management system with the goal of addressing questions in real-time. Available for both students and faculty, these help guides will display different information depending on your role and where you are in Canvas. For example, while all users will see the question mark icon at the bottom right-hand side of the screen when navigating within Canvas, the guides that populate when selecting help will be intuitive to your needs. A student selecting the help icon from the “assignments” page may see assistance for submitting assignments, how to upload classwork, or options for assignment annotation. A faculty selecting the same help icon may find assistance for creating new assignments, how to notify students about assignment changes, or importing course content. Lists of the most frequently asked questions allow you to get instant support without ever leaving Canvas.

If you do not find what you are looking for within the Canvas widget, Impact allows you to easily submit a support request, describing your unique circumstance. Support requests are routed to a Biggio Center instructional technology specialist who will follow up quickly and efficiently as they are already equipped with contextualized information on your request. Need more help? The support menu includes the Biggio Technology phone number and email if you prefer to contact the office directly. For additional questions on the Impact rollout in Canvas, email biggiotech@auburn.edu.
